Jeffrey MacDonald claimed to have washed dishes at about 2:00 a.m. on the morning of the murders, using thin latex rubber surgical gloves. Despite his claim that he only entered the kitchen far enough to use the telephone after the murders, drops of his Type B blood were found on the kitchen floor in front of a cabinet where surgical gloves were kept. Pieces of latex surgical gloves were also found in the master bedroom.
